Well I am well on my way! I guess while I am freaking out I should share why I am so stupefied and horrified at this very moment! The story starts a long time ago..... let go back 11 years to Girls Camp.... I HATED girls camp! not for the typical reasons, I loved to hike and camp and play outside, however at the time I could have cared less about become spiritually fit and combining spirituality and outdoors was a complete conundrum for me. Hiking+Outdoors=LOVE! Spiritual+Crafts=HATE!

As I have grown up I found my way back to Jesus, at least that is what I tell people when they ask why I don't drink, Well because I found Jesus! People don't ask again after you throw Jesus in there. Any who about a year ago I was talking to a lady in our ward and she asked me if I would be interested in being a nurse at girls camp. I told her that I would love to help and I let her know that I wasn't yet a nurse but I have had quite a lot of experience in the health care field. I left it at the and honestly thought very little about our chat.

About 6 weeks ago Steven got a call from somebody in the stake that we had never heard of and asked if we could meet with him... okay that's strange we thought but we had him over, mostly because I thought Steven was getting a new calling.... Boy was I wrong! Well karma is a well you know what and he called me to be on the stake committee for girls camp. At the time I was super excited! While I am still excited I am terribly nervous! In fact I'm so depressed that all I want is to camp out in my bed and read bad science fiction romances until my eyelids bleed..... okay maybe I am completely over exaggerating, but Seriously! The Shining light in the tunnels is that I am assigned to being the Hike Specialist in the Stake.

Tonight the Sweet and Totally Awesome Lady that is in charge of this whole undertaking came to my home and explained what my assignment was. After she was all said and done I was feeling pretty good, I could handle this, until she mentioned how awesome last years hike specialist was. This woman is nothing short of amazing, she had each parent write a letter to their daughters and she gave them out to them on the various hikes. Our stake had around 200 girls! Holy Crap! Hearing this I took a hard hit on my self esteem. I am not freaking amazing like the last girl! What can these girls learn from me? I am just a misfit! Seriously! I only went to two girls camps and that because my mom forced me the second year.... I look at my life and wonder what the heck the lord is thinking!?!

I am even more restless about this because some of the awesome boys that we used to teach have chosen a rough path and I can't help but feeling personally responsible. I realize that they have their own agency and I expressed that they needed to exercise their free agency and make their own choices. But when that they found out that I didn't lead the "ideal" life style before coming back to the church they shared with me all of the current choices that they were making in their lives at the time. I listened to them and told them while I didn't support what they were doing that I loved them and Steven and I would always be there for them. To this day when we hear from them I am competely elated, I however feel a heartbreaking pain when I hear what some of them are up too. I don't judge them at all! I love those boys! But I do however judge myself for not being what they needed me to be. My fear is that I will not be what I need to be for these girls....

As I sit here I need your help! I need ideas about how to help these girls! I want them to have a great girls camp, but I feel like I am completely and 100% under qualified!

Sorry my post is super depressing! I just had to vent and hoped creativity would follow, so far no luck!

HelloGoodBye

1. What did you do in 2009 that you have never done before?

I learned to cook more than just insta-pasta. I actually have become very fond of cooking. This is all thanks to Jenny, she was patient with me and my phobia of cooking. I also have started to bargain shop (also thanks to Jenny.) Now if any of my family is reading this sit down. I have also started to craft, without being forced too, and enjoy meandering though craft stores. I still laugh at some of the crafts because I find them completely ridiculous, I am a work in progress.

2. Did you keep your New Year’s Resolutions and will you make more for 2010? I don’t make resolutions, I have never seen the point. If I want to change something in my life I will change it no matter when the date is.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth in 2009?My Sister in Law Jill had her 5th baby boy this year. Two of my neighbors have had baby boys this year. And My Sister in Law Lisa is also having a Baby Boy in May.

4. Did anyone close to die in 2009? My Friend Joe…

5. What countries did you visit this year?

Sadly none. Hopefully in the years to come Steven and I will become avid world traveler’s.

6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?

I really really really want to get into nursing school.

7. What day will be etched in your memory and why?

Christmas this year, Jared, Chris, Steven and I went sledding down my parent’s back yard at 1:30 in the morning. It was awesome! Jared built a louse, he built a ramp at the top he put a turn in it and also spent many hours icing it to perfection. We accidentally woke my dad up because we were being too loud. And on Christmas night we had a relay going down it, consisting of Mike, Jon, Jared, Chris, Steven, Jaron (my sweet eight year old nephew) and myself. It was a riot.

8. What was your biggest struggle this year?

This may sound super lame, but not being able to spend a lot of time with Steven. This last semester I work 3p-1130p Mon-Thur. and Steven works 8a-6p Mon-Fri and every other Sat. 8-12. It seriously felt like we never ever saw each other. Oh and you can’t forget my stealer immune system. I was sick a lot this year, may I have better luck this year.

9. What was your biggest achievement this year?

Learning how to Cook.

10. Did you suffer any illness or injury in 2009?

I have had bronchitis three or four times, tonsillitis three times, multiple sinus infections, ovarian cysts galore, oral surgery to remove a nasty abscess. Acute pneumonia. I am pretty sure I contracted H1N1, but never got tested because I didn’t want to have to take a week off work. Honestly I know that isn’t it, but I can’t remember…

11. What was the best thing you bought this year?

The Subaru, I LOVE MY CAR!!!

12. Whose behavior merited celebration? My niece Kenzy, she is a lot like me, she looks like me, she talks like me, and she acts like me, but I am happy to report that she isn’t following the same road I took while I was her age. I have worried for years that she would face many of my same demons, but luckily she is smarter than I was and is making better choices than I made.

13. Whose behavior disappointed you?

Myself, I have a lot of imperfections that I am attempting to work on.

14. Where did most of your money go?

Our Mortgage, Tools, and the Car.

15. What did you get really excited about this year?

Going hiking with Steven during the summer. Going to my Parents for Christmas and getting to see all of my siblings except David. (David It would have been prefect had you and Rahel been there.

16. What song will remind you of 2009?

While my Guitar Gently Weeps and Dear Prudence by The Beatles, Firefly by Owl City, I want you too by Weezer, and My Winter Song Sara Bareilles.

17. Compared to last year, are you: much happier, much nicer, or richer?

I am happier… maybe the others will come next year…

18. What do you wish you had done less of?

Worrying and Cleaning when I should be spending time with Steven. My OCD gets the better of me a lot of time. I wish I could turn it off.

20. Did you fall in love this year?

I fall more in love with Steven every day we spend together.

21. What was your favorite television program of 2009?

The Biggest Loser, So You Think You Can Dance, The Big Bang Theory, Sex Rehab with Dr. Drew, True Blood, Hero’s, Taking the Stage, I think that covers it.

22. What did you want and get this year?

See Steven more, Go hiking this summer, get into Nursing school, finish all of the crafts that I have in my mind, and take Zoey on more walks.

25. Who did you miss this year?

Steven and My Brothers
32. Who were the best new people you met this year?

Meg and Brian Wilson, They are Freaking Awesome!!!

33. Tell us a valuable lesson you learned this year?

When I get a prompting to say something just spit it out instead of waiting and waiting and waiting like I normally do.

GoodBye 2009 Hello 2010

So You Think You Can Dance.... and then some....

I love love love So You Think You Can Dance! I have watched this show since its founding 6 seasons ago. I was thrilled that Russell won! I thought that surely Jacob had it in the bag because technically he is amazing, he has such grace it confounds me. BUT Russell was the underdog that just kept fighting and fighting and while he fought he became an amazing dancer. I couldn't be more excited about America choice!

Other happy news I am finished with Anatomy, I won't find out for sure until Friday what my grade is but I have a solid 88% in the class, so maybe just maybe I can pull an A-.

I have all of next week off work so I can get ready for Christmas. I am so excited to go home to Parowan (never thought I would say that) for Christmas. We haven't spent Christmas with my family since well ever; this is my first Christmas with my family with Steven! So it has been four years since I have been with my family on Christmas. The only sad part is my brother David and his awesome wife Rahel live in Switzerland and due to her schooling and other factors they are not able to come spend the holidays with us. I come from a really big family! I am the youngest of 7 children. It is really difficult to get us all together at the same time. In fact the last time that we were all together was when my brother Jared came home from his mission. (Just so you know Jared’s oldest child is eight.) I love and adore my family but because we live all over and all have demanding schedules it is rather impossible to get all together all at the same time.

Oh and one last thing that I am completely thankful for: Old Navy or Neo Nazi (that one’s for you Chris) I love that they have ridiculous sales and basically give away really cute clothes and PJ’s.

Happy Christmas: I used to write this on all of my siblings Christmas presents after wrapping them for my mom oh and I used to use two different kinds of wrapping paper because I thought I was being creative, instead of being GHETTO.

Happy Christmas and Merry New Year

I am such a nerd….

12-7-06

Today 3 years ago I married my best friend! It has been a Vivacious three years! We have stayed way too busy between moving here and there, work, school, family, friends, and church.
I am so grateful to be with Steven, I love you with all my heart. I know that being married to Steven makes me a better person. I know that it isn’t often that you find your soul mate, but luckily for us we found each other.

Smelly, thanks for a wonderful three years; I just want the rest of our forever to be as splendid.

I am Thankful for Anatomy....never thought I would say that

Today in Anatomy I learned about fetal sex development. After hearing this Lecture I feel completely blessed. This may sound funny but I do. It completely amazes me that we all don't all come out looking like Ursula. I'm thankful that I never questioned my gender. Also I am thankful that my mom didn't take testosterone supplements while I was in her womb... That leads to a whole crap load of problems. From Now on whenever I feel bad for myself and think I hate my life. I am going to think about those poor people who have a XX chromosome, but have XY junk, but identify with the XX chromosome. In tribute to Thanksgiving, I would like to thank heavenly father for not giving me a trial that involved gender confusion.

Other things going on, I have decided to not get the H1N1 vaccine.

We bought a new Xbox 360, and Tony Hawk: Ride. Seriously I don't need a Wii fit, I have this game. For the first time ever I talked Steven into buying a Video Game!

I have never thought of myself as a crafty person, but I find myself looking at crafty sites and wanting to refinish furniture and making retro hats and headbands.

If you had told me 5 years ago that I would enjoy cooking, decorating my house, (even if most of it is Steven's art) and wanting to make retro headbands. I would have told you that you had the wrong girl and that you were up in the night. WOW what I have learned from this.... NEVER say NEVER!

Oh and other great news, I got a solid B on my last Anatomy test! Plus I only studied for 4 hours tops. Thank you my dear friend on YouTube that took way too much time to create those videos about the brain. I actually understood the material, and somehow still remember it.

Well I am on thank-you’s I would personally like to thank whoever created www.peopleofwalmart.com this site has provided me with so much JOY I just cannot contain it! P.S. If you do not have a strong stomach just avoid this site.

50 things on my mind at almost 4 in the morning

So here I sit, it is 3 am, and I can't sleep.... So I am going to post... Because of the time I am going to post my thoughts in single sentences.

1. I hate it when I am tired but I can't sleep.
2. I am really hungry, but nothing sounds good.
3. I put up my Christmas tree yesterday; I forgot how much I like my tree.
4. One of my good friends gave me some beautiful Christmas ornaments.
5. They are the only ornaments that I own.
6. I am still working on liking Christmas.
7. I know what you are thinking... It is true... promise... just ask Steven... I don't like Christmas but I am trying, because I love him.
8. I just want this semester to end.
9. We went shooting Thanksgiving morning.
10. I really like shooting, and I always forget how much I like until I get out there and spatter a pigeon.
11. I miss my family.
12. I guess I should call them more and make more of an effort.
13. But then again we are the type of family that calls when we have big news and sometimes on holidays.
14. I am glad that I am almost done Christmas shopping.
15. I hate those crazy holiday shoppers... one of the many reasons that I dislike Christmas.
16. Don't judge me Christ was born in April...
17. Starting in 2010 we will be teaching in the senior Primary.
18. I don't know how I feel about it.
19. I still haven't decided what I want to work next semester.
20. I keep asking Steven what I should work, because I can't decide.
21. Steven's Xbox 360 has the ring of death, again..
22. I thought that I wanted a wii.
23. Then I realized that I wouldn't have time to play it.
24. Killed that idea really quick.
25. I could sit and stare at Steven's paintings all day.
26. I wish it would snow.
27. I LOVE the SNOW.
28. I can't believe that I have almost been married for 3 years.
29. I learned how to curl my hair using a straightener yesterday.
30. It was quite the adventure...
31. I really should just take a sleeping pill.
32. I thought blogging would help my sleep respecters take over.
33. I wish I could clean this late, but that would be noisy and wake up my neighbors.
34. It is still weird to me when my friends from high school have kids.
35. I still feel like I am a child myself, but they are all grown up and have babies.
36. I wish I were more of a sensitive person.
37. I like it when Zoey sleeps in the bed with us.
38. She is a very good heater.
39. Almost all of my TV shows that I TiVo are sucking more and more. Thanks to So You Think You and Dance and The Biggest Loser, for making TV bearable for me.
40. What to do on Dec 4-7th? Hmm...
41. I finally finished my Reimann Family book.
42. I couldn't do the ugly pages, I tired, but I just couldn't.
43. My friend at work (Chase) told me that my pages were too dark.
44. I told him that I like the dark, maybe that’s why I am wide awake at 3:37 in the morning.
45. My other friends liked them...
46. But I am kind of dark and twisty...
47. I would rather be cold than hot or even warm except in the car I like to be warm in the car.
48. What to snack on.. Conundrum.
49. I love that word. Say it Conundrum, it is fantastic.
50. I think that I am done, well at least for tonight.

Who knew that a $2.00 product could make me so happy.

Saturday Night I had the greatest thought ever; Steven and I tried desperately to get all the BLACK hair spray dye out of my long locks. While we were in the process of trying to cleanse my hair, my hair was in the process of dying my shower and all of its contents black. I was under the notion that this dye would wash nicely out of my blond hair and go right down the drain without further complaint, sadly I was completely wrong!!! While I was sulking about pouting still in the shower, the thought came to me, just have Steven bring you the magic eraser you bought last weekend that should do the trick… Well it sure did, my tub is clean as a whistle and then after I was finished scrubbing my tub another brilliant thought came to me, you should just leave the magic eraser in the tub, so that after you are done showering every night you can wipe down your tub. Happy Day, I no longer have to battle with the grease Steven brings home, I can get rid of it every night, HAHA I knew that I would find a way to bet the grease, I always do, I just have to think on it sometimes… This new thought was even better than separating Stevens work under-rues from the rest of our laundry. Happy Freaking Day!!

One Last Thing, Steven is the greatest ever; I came home tonight to find the laundry and dishes done, two of my least favorite tasks. Stinky I love you soo soo soo much, there are not words to tell you how much you mean to me and to express my complete gratitude for you and all that you do! Well I found the one that I wanted but decided that it would be wiser to wait and purchase the dress after pay day, if you know what I mean. Thursday when I checked the site my dress was still available so I never thought that in three days that my dream dress would be gone!!! So now I am between a rock and a hard place, do i spend a lot more money to buy on a dress I like or buy a dress that I kind of like for less money? Curse what to do?!?

On a happier note we had a party with some friends and it was a lot of fun!!! Everything turned out wonderful! Thanks to everyone who came, hopefully we can do it in the near future again.

For our family party I dressed up as a empty toilet paper roll. Steven did such a fantastic job designing and creating my costume. I ended up winning the most creative costume, I personally think Steven should have been awarded, all I did was wear it!!!

What to be?

After much deliberation and consideration I have (with Steven’s opinion) decided that since I have only met the majority of “The Gailey” family maybe three times that is seriously a huge maybe! That it would be in my best interest to not dress as my 16-18 year old punk self. At first I was a little sad about this, but after thinking about it, I seemed absolutely nuts for thinking that it was an okay idea. While I am still later in the evening at a friend’s party dressing as my punk self, I will not do it for the family party because I as much as I love making people feel awkward it just doesn’t seem like the best place to wear my liberal costume, plus it will be in a church…. Another strike against my rebellious outfit…

So I am asking you as my friends and family to vote for these options (because I like them all and can’t decide)

1950’s housewife, in the kitchen, barefoot and Prego…
Corpus Bride,
Member of the unwed mothers club, (maybe still to controversial, I have no idea how much humor this family of Steven’s processes’)
An empty roll of toilet paper
Helen Keller…
The Little Mermaid

You pick… please vote!!! I have always done it, because I love My Mom in Law, Lisa, and if she wants me to do it I will. Well over the years this Site has evolved, and has made a dramatic improvements over the years. But Seriously over half of their supposed "cute" backgrounds that they have added over the last year look like 1970's carpet puked on them! I know history repeats its self, just go to the mall and watch the kids shop for their 1980's clothes. So this year I am apoligizing to my family now, but I can't help myself if The Heritage Makers corp. are going to provide these ugly-ass backgrounds I may have to use them, just to amuse myself now and in the future.

Sharing

Over the last three weeks I have learned a very important lesson. Sharing is OVER RATED! Now I know what you are thinking, sharing is wonderful, we are taught to share to show ourselves that others are just as important as us and that by serving and sharing with others we learn many great and valuable lessons... Back to my original point Sharing is completely over rated, I shared my germs with Steven, and now he has my cold, that by the way lasted for three weeks. Since then Steven has shared his cold with first his niece Whitnee, and then My Dad. While our recent sharing has touched many people, i doubt that this was what they wanted or anticipated what was to follow from coming to see the two of us. Luckily my this new way of thinking only helps me right? Just kidding!!! I just thought that it was a clever way to tell you that I hate colds!

Art, Crap and Husband!

Steven has decided to make his own blog to showcase his art. I have recently learned from my love that when I am sick I am even more mean than normal; the most depressing thing about this is I haven’t even noticed that I am a pain to deal with.

So new goal when I am ill, try to be nicer to Steven…

But on the other hand, I called to make a doctor’s appointment this morning, can I just tell you speaking to medical office personal makes my blood boil! Besides who you are they want to know what is wrong with you… you tell them… and then they ask details like well do you have the flu or the swine flu? Well I don’t know Copernicus you tell me? I am coming to the doctor to find out what is wrong with me… Isn’t that typical? I could have the common cold, I could have the flu, I could have the swine flu, and I could have any number of things… That’s why I am coming to see the doctor in the first place. I work in a germ infested area, full of sick people! Sorry I rant a lot mostly because I am really irritable and haven’t been sleeping well.

On a Happier Note: Steven and I watch LA Link every week together, I love watching what people get inked, I am completely obsessed with looking at peoples ink, I stare, something I don’t normally condone, but I can’t help it, I love looking at peoples tat’s! So most weeks about half way through the show I have to pause it, so Steven can go and get his easel so he can paint! He is SO Talented! Every single time I look at his paintings I feel in awe of his creativity! His work simply amazes me! I have been working on a concept of a tribute on his work but I need to think of the right way to do!

We have created a Monster! We taught Zoey how to beg, by “sitting pretty” it is so adorable, which I am sure she knows, she now anytime she wants anything, form a treat, to share our food, our ice, our attention, to be picked up, she happily performs her little trick to get what she wants!

Well I need to go get ready to see the doctor… peace out…

Depressing? I think so!

So today, as with many of my days off I have these mighty plans of grandeur. Today I was going to paint the guest bathroom, (this task required me to go to home de-pot to buy some essential items), write two papers, go shopping (which requires me to go online and price match), fold laundry, clean the house, clean the fridge, have dinner ready when Steven got home, finish some of my new creative ideas, take Zoe for a run, Get Zoey Groomed, Ship the extra reciever that is in the box, back to DISH network and that list could seriously go on and on...

What actually happened today, I did paint the bathroom, and it looks fabulous, if only i had actually remembered to buy a new shower rod... everything is done except for paiting behind the toliet and hanging the new light fixture. (just a warning for those of you who live in the building, all of our light fixtures are off center in our bathrooms, and a stud just happens to be in the dead center, it is a purely joyful filling in the hole and making the new lights center.)

I took out the garbage and cleaned out the fridge and took the garbage out again.

I went shopping, after finding all my items in less than thrity minutes, i waited in line and then found the only cashier in walmart who didn't know how to price match, needless to say a lot of people behind me were pissed off.

Got home, called Steven, found out that we were going to go on a date instead of me cooking dinner. 60 dollars later and one of the best dinners, i seriously mean best dinners of my life we went and saw "The Proposal", I found it completely Hiliarious, but then again I like akward humor.

We got home at 12, and me being the big dork that I am, made Steven stay up with me and watch "So You Think You Can Dance" and "LA Ink"..... that brings us to about one thirty in the morning....

Steven goes to bed and I stay up to write my two papers... well I finished my first paper, three pages in and hour, i was feeling rather proud, thinking to myself look at me go, I am so smart and gosh i love to write.... Only to come to citing my references.... it seriously took me an hour and then some to correctly type MLA format citations...

How lame is that? I didn't accomplish hardly anything on my tasks of TO DO's... oh well this is life, and at least Steven drags me away so I don't ruin myself by doing task after task after task... which i have been known to do as of late. So thanks Honey! I am completely grateful that you spend time with me and love me enough to protect me from myself and my OCD tendecies, but next time please don't drive so close to those damn semi's.

So it is 4:17 in the morning I am going to try and sleep, because morning will come extremely soon.. So good night and good morning to some of you... have a great day, and I wish you a great today, tomorrow, and forever....

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://stevenandkariann.blogspot.com/2009/07/depressing-i-think-so.html' title='Depressing? So well I am putting off doing my homework and going to sleep here are some things that have been going on recently in my world.

I bought a new, bigger book shelve last week, it is almost filled up, and my old one will be filled up as soon as I find the motivation to pull all of our other books out of storage. Nice huh?

I still have handed in all my English papers in on time, and am thrilled that I only have 5 more assignments to complete in this course!

Last week Kenzy came and stayed with Steven and me. She is such a riot I love her so much! Funny story about our time together, we went to The Proposal together and were the only ones in the theater that laughed out loud. I guess it is a good thing that both of us don’t care what people think of us, because that might have been hazardous on our health.

Kenzy and I did craft time, her paintings turned out to be completely awesome. I am so proud of her.

A couple of weeks ago my phone of three short months died, I now have a new phone, with a sweet cover that will hopefully protect it from me. Something completely tragic about this situation is I lost all of my numbers!! And my call schedule is in my phone so I know when I can plan trips and when I can’t, luckily for me Bre saved me this last weekend by taking my call. On a lighter note the new phone isn’t a touch screen, thank goodness, my last phone was a pain in the butt, I could hardly ever text or for that matter call people that I wanted too, because my phone wouldn’t corporate.

I made some really cool wedding shower invites for my friend Tania. Maybe I will import them onto the computer… or I will be lazy…

I finally finished my painting, so I could send it to Eric Littlewood. Thank goodness that is off my TO DO LIST.

I ran into an old friend’s mom today, and then spoke to my old friend for quite some time on the phone; I invited her and her husband over for dinner. I then wrote her number down, first mistake since I was talking to her on her mom’s phone, second mistake getting in the habit of throwing away my price matching ads on my way out of Wal-Mart. So even though I could have put her number directly into my phone, like an idiot I didn’t, and now I am back at square one.

I really need to finish painting my house.

I got my first cooking related burn today, I hope to never repeat that mistake or make another one that would yield the same result.

Ever since I read The Hunger Games: I have been getting hungry more often, weird huh? (The book has very little to do with the consumption of food, well the characters consume food, that isn’t the plot of the book.)

I love that Steven rubs my feet and back without me asking him, I also love that he texts me sweet nothings throughout the day…

We may buy a truck.

I need to start depleting items on the almighty to do list and stop adding items to said list.

I think that I am done ranting for tonight, I am sure that I left a ton out and I am sorry but I am only human and I make a lot of mistakes!

funny thing i just thought of, here are the things that i have written my papers on in English; the over consumption and dept of the US, That young adults in our country are to narcissistic, smoking indoors, needs to be banned world wide, and education about what second hand smoke does to its victims, and taking a realistic approach to sex education in our country. Aren't I the biggest freaking nerd or what?

49 Things About ME...

1. I Hate Making Up Titles.

So this post has been in my mind for quite some time, and I was going to take pictures of everything that I wanted to write about and say a sentence about them, but since I am at work and bored stiff, and have never been good about taking pictures here it goes…

We recently purchased a new car, and I am absolutely and totally in love with it!!! The Subie or Boob-a-Roo, (depending on who you talk to) is a radical dark blue, and is the prefect car for Steven and me. Oh and we got a killer deal on it when we bought it, the cherry on top.

I have been obsessed with bargain shopping lately, I have found so many good deals and I am loving it, which is weird because typically I wouldn’t be caught dead shopping, because the whole crowd situation and annoying people prevent me from enjoying the experience.
Steven and I are half way done painting our condo, we love the color, it is crazy how a little bit of paint can transform a room. It’s beautiful, but I can’t seem to muster the motivation to finish taping and painting the rest of our home, weird huh?

Steven and I have started hiking on weekends and going on walks on my nights off, except the last two weeks have been hindered because of our lovely weather. I am not complaining I LOVE IT!!! Hiking is something that I have also enjoyed and I never knew that Steven also liked hiking, something that equals FABULOUS FUN!!! We actually have pictures of us hiking, amazing considering we never take pictures of ourselves, yet we have hundreds of pictures of nature and dead things (I love you babe).

I have started to paint for fun, I am not talented by any means but I find it quite enjoyable. I am currently working on finishing my fourth painting, hopefully this weekend I can find some time to finish it.

I am taking English 1010 online and am ahead on my assignments, I have to post this solely because genetically I am programmed to be a procrastinator.

We get to hang out with Jenny, Rand, Kam, Tim, Matt, Tori, and hopefully Lance and Kendra too. I am stoked It feels like I haven’t seen them in a million years. I am home sick for Rand and Jen and my Brad and Claire!!! I miss you guys!!!

We have been proud parents of our Zoe-Hoe for a Year! It is crazy how time flies. She is such a corky little monster. We love and Adore her, and are so happy that she is our ZOE!!!

I have been cooking a lot lately, and not just intsa-pasta, actual meals. It has actually been fun, I still have a panic attacks every once and a while but nothing like before. Thanks again Jen and Steven for being patient with me and teaching me pretty much everything I know.

Steven is the best ever, I have to share this little story with you because it is so damn cute!!! So I call stinky on my way home from work because I miss him, and he tells me and Zoey ate a sharpie on my couch. I was trying not to be mad because it was our fault for leaving out the marker. Well I get home and start looking at the sectional and nothing is wrong with it however there are some Oreos. Then down the hall Reece’s were scatter in a line to our guest bedroom. Then laying on the bed was The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and a love note telling me to come into the bedroom because he had yet another surprise for me. When I walked into the bedroom I almost cried, he had painted me a beautiful picture in black and white and gray of trees and mist, it is absolutely glorious!!! And on the back he named it because I love you…. I have such an amazing husband each day I am with him I fall more and more madly in love with him.

So I am done for now, I would promise pictures but it most likely wont happen so no promises.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://stevenandkariann.blogspot.com/2009/06/hmmm-i-hate-making-up-titles.html' title='Hmmm. I learned how to drive an automatic when i was 12 and a standard when i was 14.

2. I know how to sew, but never do.

3. I have always always wanted to live in a big city, preferably in a ghetto...

4. I love independent films/low budget films and documentaries.

5. I hate Styrofoam!!! when i hear/think about it, it sends chills down my body... In fact Steven once used this hate to his advantage, and got an over priced food cooler because I couldn't bare having a cheap Styrofoam one...

6. We got off to a late start because we decided to stop at Walmart to see if we could try and make a stereo and guess what it worked!!! I officially have the most GHETTO stereo on this planet we have a Ipod charger plugged into the cigarette lighter and then into the almighty Ipod and then bought some super sweet speakers that plug into the earphone jack on the Ipod... I realize that it is really lame, but can you imagine a 3 hour drive without music I sure can't... don't worry pictures are coming later!!!

After we got to my parents house we introduced Zoey to Polo (my parental puppy), at first they weren't quite sure what they thought of each other but after a few minutes they were good ol' pals... they played all weekend and when we brought Zoe home she went through Polo with drawls.

It was really great to visit all of my Family, we got to see my parents (duh we stayed with them). We also got to spend some time with my cousin Jana, she just got home form a mission so it has been a while. I absolutely LOVE Jana we were really close growing up and it was fabulous to spend some good quality time with her. We also went and saw my Grandma Jensen, she is such a funny lady, she has her quirks but I love her!!! We talked a lot about her upcoming surgery (Friday ahhh). She is getting her hip replaced, I have very mixed emotions about her operation, but I am trying to have faith that whatever the lord has in store for our family and for my Grandma is for the best. I am hoping for the best.... We also spent some time with my sister Lori and her four kids, I love them and it is had to not see them all the time, I almost feel like an older sister to Loris kids and not an aunt... So obliviously I was glad to spend some time with them...

All and all it was a great trip. I was really glad that even though I trip wasn't long we made the best of it!!!

My dog turned into a RAT!!!

So last week Steven and I decided that it would be a good idea to shave Zoey. So we went out and bought a razor and went home to accomplish our goal. It wasn't as easy as we thought it would be, it took the both of us a hour to shave her!! I was completely covered in her hair, I was trying to hold her while Steven shaved her, so I ended up looking like hair was puked all over me. Steven even though he had the responsibility of shaving her still got completely covered in hair as well. Luckily we have a really small dog or we would have been in trouble!!! Luckily Zoey doesn't care what she looks like because all of her once black hair now looks like it is a combo of gray and blond.. and she looks more like a rat than a dog.... I finally finished my homework, thank heavens it gets so repetitive it makes me crazy, so I couldn't be happier that it is done, oh and thanks to nan I only have to do half the amount of work or I might have needed medication to finish that assignment.

I also finished The Reimann 2008 book. For the past two years we have been making these books, they are a really good idea... The only problem is that since it is only the two of us and I never take any pictures, (if you haven't noticed from my blog). So finding pictures proved to quite the task, luckily Jen takes lots of pictures and we hang out with their family a lot or I would royally be screwed right now.... nothing new and no pictures.....equals a really bad book. It is all over I am done!!!

I also have to thank my wonderful husband who not only cooked me a fabulous dinner (meat loaf, loaded mashed potatoes, green beans, and home made bread) he has been patient with me all day.

So all of you can start laughing our new calling is Sunbeams..... This is defiantly going to be entertaining......

Zoe's Adventures

Zoe has been going through a lot of changes the last couple of weeks. It all started when she lost her first baby tooth, I think that Steven helped her lose it if you know what I mean. Since then she has proceeded to lose all of her front teeth and her canines, for a while there she looked like a meth dog. ZOEY sporting the meth dog look only lasted for a day before she started growing in her permanent teeth. I love looking in her mouth because her teeth look way too big for her little mouth. Oh and to top it off she has an overbite, because of the size of those teeth. I LOVE IT!!!

Steven and I also made the choice to have her spayed, you can call me evil and mean but we refuse to have little Zoey’s running around!!! After we dropped her off at the Clinic they called me regarding her dew claws. They told me that they strongly suggested removing them because of how flimsy they were and that they would likely get caught on something and rip off, and that would hurt her more than them removing them surgically. So even thou Steven and I adored them and loved to watch her run with her little “birdie” claws we decided that we would let the vet remove them.

When Steven brought her back to her parent’s house I almost cried. She was shaking and whimpering. He put her down so I could see her hot pink bandages wrapped around her back ankles. They looked like Pink Hot socks from the Eighties. Saturday night she was so sick, she vomited once I felt so awful because I was the one who choose to have this procedure done. She didn’t even look like herself because of how much pain she was in. But by the next morning she was up running around and having a good ‘ol time. It has been almost a week since her surgery and is pretty much back to normal, she just sleeps more. I am so thankful that everything is done and that she is ok!!! Her next adventure is obedient school; I hope they help me transform her into the dog that I know she can be.

I Love My Hair!!

I dyed my hair a more natural color today.
