Parowan

So last weekend Steven and I decided to take a trip to my home town of Parowan since I am on call over all of the holidays this year. We got off to a late start because we decided to stop at Walmart to see if we could try and make a stereo and guess what it worked!!! I officially have the most GHETTO stereo on this planet we have a Ipod charger plugged into the cigarette lighter and then into the almighty Ipod and then bought some super sweet speakers that plug into the earphone jack on the Ipod... I realize that it is really lame, but can you imagine a 3 hour drive without music I sure can't... don't worry pictures are coming later!!!

After we got to my parents house we introduced Zoey to Polo (my parental puppy), at first they weren't quite sure what they thought of each other but after a few minutes they were good ol' pals... they played all weekend and when we brought Zoe home she went through Polo with drawls.

It was really great to visit all of my Family, we got to see my parents (duh we stayed with them). We also got to spend some time with my cousin Jana, she just got home form a mission so it has been a while. I absolutely LOVE Jana we were really close growing up and it was fabulous to spend some good quality time with her. We also went and saw my Grandma Jensen, she is such a funny lady, she has her quirks but I love her!!! We talked a lot about her upcoming surgery (Friday ahhh). She is getting her hip replaced, I have very mixed emotions about her operation, but I am trying to have faith that whatever the lord has in store for our family and for my Grandma is for the best. I am hoping for the best.... We also spent some time with my sister Lori and her four kids, I love them and it is had to not see them all the time, I almost feel like an older sister to Loris kids and not an aunt... So obliviously I was glad to spend some time with them...

All and all it was a great trip. I was really glad that even though I trip wasn't long we made the best of it!!!

My dog turned into a RAT!!!

So last week Steven and I decided that it would be a good idea to shave Zoey. So we went out and bought a razor and went home to accomplish our goal. It wasn't as easy as we thought it would be, it took the both of us a hour to shave her!! I was completely covered in her hair, I was trying to hold her while Steven shaved her, so I ended up looking like hair was puked all over me. Steven even though he had the responsibility of shaving her still got completely covered in hair as well. Luckily we have a really small dog or we would have been in trouble!!! Luckily Zoey doesn't care what she looks like because all of her once black hair now looks like it is a combo of gray and blond.. and she looks more like a rat than a dog.... Oh well we still love our little ZOE....

Her picture will be added later but because of problems with blogspot it can't be loaded just yet!!!

FINISHED

So today I have devoted almost my entire day to finishing things that need to be done. I finally finished my homework, thank heavens it gets so repetitive it makes me crazy, so I couldn't be happier that it is done, oh and thanks to nan I only have to do half the amount of work or I might have needed medication to finish that assignment.

I also finished The Reimann 2008 book. For the past two years we have been making these books, they are a really good idea... The only problem is that since it is only the two of us and I never take any pictures, (if you haven't noticed from my blog). So finding pictures proved to quite the task, luckily Jen takes lots of pictures and we hang out with their family a lot or I would royally be screwed right now.... nothing new and no pictures.....equals a really bad book. It is all over I am done!!!

I also have to thank my wonderful husband who not only cooked me a fabulous dinner (meat loaf, loaded mashed potatoes, green beans, and home made bread) he has been patient with me all day.

So all of you can start laughing our new calling is Sunbeams..... This is defiantly going to be entertaining......

Zoe's Adventures

Zoe has been going through a lot of changes the last couple of weeks. It all started when she lost her first baby tooth, I think that Steven helped her lose it if you know what I mean. Since then she has proceeded to lose all of her front teeth and her canines, for a while there she looked like a meth dog. ZOEY sporting the meth dog look only lasted for a day before she started growing in her permanent teeth. I love looking in her mouth because her teeth look way too big for her little mouth. Oh and to top it off she has an overbite, because of the size of those teeth. I LOVE IT!!!

Steven and I also made the choice to have her spayed, you can call me evil and mean but we refuse to have little Zoey’s running around!!! After we dropped her off at the Clinic they called me regarding her dew claws. They told me that they strongly suggested removing them because of how flimsy they were and that they would likely get caught on something and rip off, and that would hurt her more than them removing them surgically. So even thou Steven and I adored them and loved to watch her run with her little “birdie” claws we decided that we would let the vet remove them.

When Steven brought her back to her parent’s house I almost cried. She was shaking and whimpering. He put her down so I could see her hot pink bandages wrapped around her back ankles. They looked like Pink Hot socks from the Eighties. Saturday night she was so sick, she vomited once I felt so awful because I was the one who choose to have this procedure done. She didn’t even look like herself because of how much pain she was in. But by the next morning she was up running around and having a good ‘ol time. It has been almost a week since her surgery and is pretty much back to normal, she just sleeps more. I am so thankful that everything is done and that she is ok!!! Her next adventure is obedient school; I hope they help me transform her into the dog that I know she can be.

I Love My Hair!!

I dyed my hair a more natural color today. I left my side panels blond so I still can have a little funk. I was so excited I made Steven take pictures of my head so I could blog about it. I love having someone I trust do my hair because when I give her my idea’s she tells me what she thinks about my ideas, and what she can do for me!!! THANKS Kristy!!! I LOVE IT!!!

Steven's Sweet Lighting Project

Since buying our first home we keep adding on our TO DO LIST of improvements. Even though our condo is brand new I still want to do a lot of different little things to make it mine and it make better. Well last night Steven and his brother Aaron accomplished one of our goals. Under the cabinetry they added some can lights and they look fabulous, the pictures really don’t do them justice. I LOVE THEM!!! THANKS Steven and Aaron…
